Governor Hope Uzodinma has got a confidence vote from his Orlu East Local Government Area kinsmen.
This is even as 4000 Imo youths and another 4000 women are to be empowered by the state in a few months time according to the Special Advisor on Political Matters to the governor, Dr Batos Nwadike while addressing Oru East people in continuation of the ongoing Prosperity Tour of the Uzodinma government.
Speaking while moving the motion for vote of confidence on Governor Uzodinma on behalf of Orlu East people Tuesday, at Omuma, a leader in the area, Hon Ifeanyi Oru who thanked the governor for his giant strides in the a short period he has piloted the affairs of Imo, said Oru people were proud of their son, Governor Uzodinma whose emergence he described as divine.
He maintained that Oru East people would continue to support and float with the governor because of the wonderful work he has so far done in the state.
A commissioner in ISOPADEC and former member for Oru East in the Imo House of Assembly, Hon Nkenna Nzeruo said Governor Uzodinma noted that the governor has shown capacity in the able way he has gone ahead with his 3R Agenda and also winning on all fronts.
The member for Oru East in the Imo House of Assembly, Hon Chigozie Nwaneri lauded Uzodinma for taking the bull by the horn in his 3R Agenda but regretted that detractors and opposition were bent to distracted the governor.
The Interim Management Committee chairman of Oru East LGA, Hon Nyerere Ogbonna thanked the governor for the multitude of appointments to Oru East people adding that the entire LGA has collapsed into APC and are solidly behind the governor.
Other leaders from the area including three-time Oru East chairman, Chief Emma Ogbenta, Chief Ewe Ejifugha among others, gave the governor thumbs up for what he has achieved in a short time.
Addressing Oru East people at the well attended event, the SA political, Dr Batos Nwadike said Oru East LGA was blessed to have a son like Senator Uzodinma whom he described as dogged fighter and great achiever.
He recounted the governor’s achievements in the areas of recovery, road construction and empowerment which he noted would see 8000 women and youths empowered in the next three months.
While charging the prosperity ambassadors to be the eye of the governor in the LGA, Dr Batos said Oru East and Imolites were yet to see the best of the governor.
